We just got back from our trip to the lovely Loch Ness - this picture was taken from a little boat when we went out on a cruise.  We had fabulous weather the whole week - maybe even a bit too hot!

We were there primarily for the Loch Ness Film Festival (www.lochnessfilmfestival.co.uk) and saw some marvellous original films over 3 days.

We caught up with old friends and made some new ones too.

I still have a few official mugs and t-shirts left from the festival, so if you missed out and still want a souvenir, go to my Home page and get one before I run out!

Once again I'm preparing for the annual Loch Ness Film Festival, which is run by good friends of mine.  I'll be supplying the souvenir mugs, the same as I did last year.  I've also organised some souvenir t-shirts.  Both these items are now available on my shop page for those who want them but are unable to get to the festival to buy them in person.  This year's film selection promises to be good; you can check out the screening timetable at www.lochnessfilmfestival.co.uk.

Here is my first duck soap dish in white.  He was ordered by Carol who I chat to on www.craftsforum.co.uk - she has a new bathroom and thought one of my duck dishes would be a talking point and add a bit of fun!

And this is the first Loch Ness Film Festival mug out of the kiln.  My friend Willie Doig and his son Andrew run this festival and welcomed my offer to provide souvenir handmade mugs.  The festival runs from 27th to 29th May this year and you can check it out at www.lochnessfilmfestival.co.uk.  Mugs will only be available at the screenings so if you want one, you'll have to be there!

I've just returned from my little holiday to the Highlands, where I caught up with lots of old friends in the area where I used to live.  I drove up via the Lake District and Forfar, where I stayed overnight with yet more friends.

In the picture you can see Loch Ness - Urquhart Castle is on the tip of the headland you can see sticking into the loch and is well worth a visit.

I got home on 10th October, after spending a night at my sister's house in Lincolnshire.  I'm still recovering from all that driving though!

Thanks to everyone who provided me with a bed for the night, or coffee, or a meal.  It was lovely to see you all.
